Brief Introduction
This double chamber air reservoir (also named combined reservoir, double air reservoir) is an integrated pressure vessel specially designed for railway freight wagon air brake systems. It integrates an auxiliary reservoir and an operating reservoir within one single shell, separated by a solid internal partition to ensure two fully independent air chambers without gas intercommunication.
By combining two reservoirs into one assembly, this railway air brake reservoir effectively saves underframe installation space, reduces the quantity of connecting pipelines, brackets and fasteners, and lowers the overall tare weight of rolling stock. Widely applied on railway hopper wagons and tank wagons such as K3, K13 series hopper cars, GQ70 / GN70 series tank wagons.
Fabricated from pressure vessel grade steel plate with welded dished heads. All welds undergo non-destructive testing. Each unit is subject to hydrostatic pressure test and air tightness test before delivery, complying with railway rolling stock pressure vessel requirements. Optional hanger bracket is available for direct mounting on wagon underframe. Custom painting and anti-corrosion coating can be supplied for sea transportation and long-term outdoor service.
