Brief introduction:

120 type air brake is the main brake system for Chinese railway freight cars. It has five function states: inflation release, deceleration inflation release, service braking, brake pressure maintaining and emergency braking.

120 type control valve is the core part of the 120 type air brake system and is mainly comprised of main valve, middle body, semi release valve and emergency valve and etc. It is mounted directly on the under frame by bolts and nuts through the holes on middle body.

Main features of 120 air control valve:

• Two pressures’ mechanism: the main control mechanism is controlled by two pressures’ difference, one pressure is the auxiliary air cylinder’s pressure and another is the pressure of the train pipeline.
• Direct acting mode: during pressurization, the main control mechanism directly connects the brake pipe with the auxiliary air cylinder and the brake cylinder with the atmosphere; Similarly, during decompression, the main control mechanism directly connects the path between the auxiliary air cylinder and the brake cylinder.
• The main control mechanism adopts rubber membrane plate and metal slide valve structure.
• Service brake and emergency brake separate working
