Main features of No.17 coupler:
- No.17 coupler is designed according to AAR S117-67 ‘F Type Interlock coupler profile’
- No.17 coupler could be coupled with 13B coupler, No. 16 coupler, AAR E coupler, AAR E/F coupler, and AAR F coupler
- No.17 coupler is made of high strength low alloy Grade E. The minimum static tensile failure loads of coupler body and coupler knuckle are 4005kN and 3430kN
- The free clearance of connected couplers’ profiles is 9.5mm, reducing the longitudinal impact during train running, improving the train’s longitudinal dynamic performance
- No.17 couplers comply with TB/T 456 standard
- No.17 coupler is equipped with coupler interlocking device and anti-disengaging device, which can prevent the coupler from disengaging automatically and increase the coupler connection strength. The hook body tail adopts the structural design of the combination of the spherical surface and the protruding shoulder, and vertical connection of the vertical circular pin and the coupler yoke, which has the automatic centering function and good curve passing performance. The locking pin mechanism has reliable anti jump performance and strong adaptability.
