The DC system gapless surge arrester is a protective device specifically designed for railway DC traction power supply systems. It is mainly used to protect rail transit equipment from damage caused by lightning, electrical arcs, and switching overvoltages.

This surge arrester has been developed in accordance with the technical report of the International Council on Large Electric Systems (CIGRE 33/14.05) and the "Guide for Gapless Metal Oxide Surge Arresters for HVDC Converter Stations" (GB/T 22389-2008). It also takes into account the current state of DC surge arrester production both domestically and internationally, as well as our company's many years of experience in surge arrester design and manufacturing. The arrester features a well-designed structure and reliable performance. The resistor elements are made of DC metal oxide varistors independently developed by our company.
