DF7G diesel locomotive is an AC-DC electric drive internal combustion shunting locomotive, which is suitable for marshalling and shunting operations in large and medium marshalling yards. The locomotive is equipped with 12V240ZJ diesel engine, and the main parts can be interchanged with Dongfeng 4 locomotives and Dongfeng 5 locomotives, especially suitable for use with Dongfeng 4 locomotives. On the basis of Dongfeng 5 locomotive, the locomotive has been improved in generalization, serialization, modularization and standardization, and adopts the modular structure of outer corridor type body and frame bearing. The diesel engine adopts a stepless speed regulating device; the main drive system adopts two sets of excitation systems of PLC constant power excitation and power regulating resistance original excitation.
The locomotive auxiliary system adopts auxiliary electromechanical transmission technology, and the cooling fan and traction motor fan are driven by AC motor; the control system is equipped with a color liquid crystal display, which has the functions of data display, fault diagnosis, detection and recording.
