The CKD7F locomotive is suitable for the AC-DC electric drive meter gauge diesel locomotive with a gauge of 1000mm for passenger and freight transportation on the main railway line. It is equipped with an American CAT3516 diesel engine with a loading power of 1250kW. The car machine is an inner corridor type, a double driver type, a Bo-Bo-Bo axle type, and three two-axle bogies. The axle load is 13.5t, the total weight is 81t, the maximum speed is 90km/h, the continuous speed is 17km/h, the maximum starting traction force is 245kN, and the continuous traction force is 185kN. The locomotive is equipped with an air-vacuum dual braking system and a resistance braking system.
