The molybdenum zirconium titanium alloy, also known as TZM alloy, has excellent welding properties and may be joined with H11 steel and other materials.At the same time, TZM alloy can resist the corrosion of molten metal such as Zn. It can be cold worked using traditional techniques. Carbide or high-speed steel tools can be used for machining in the presence of cooling lubricating oil.

 

5. Production Method of Ti0.5-Zr0.1 Molybdenum Plate TZM Molybdenum Alloy:

 

Traditional melting and casting techniques cannot provide the same chemical composition or mechanical and physical qualities as powder metallurgy. The high-purity molybdenum powder is uniformly mixed with TiH2 powder, ZrH2 powder and graphite powder in proportion, and then formed by cold isostatic pressing, and then sintered at high temperature in a protective atmosphere to obtain a TZM billet. The billet is then subjected to high temperature hot rolling (high temperature forging), high temperature annealing, medium temperature hot rolling (medium temperature forging), medium temperature annealing to eliminate stress, TZM final material is then obtained through warm rolling (warm forging). The rolling (forging) process of the billet and the subsequent heat treatment have a great influence on the properties, anisotropy and texture of the material.

The surface of the titanium zirconium molybdenum plate (TZM plate) blank is dark brown, and after chemical cleaning, it is silver-gray metallic luster, or the surface is polished. According to the width and thickness provided by the user, our company can produce TZM boards with smooth and flat surface, no defects such as heavy skin, delamination, cracks, cracked edges, and inclusion of impurities.
