Three stationary grinding rollers operate on a rotating grinding table. Material is drawn between the rollers and table, ground by pressure and shear forces generated through a hydropneumatic tension system. After grinding, material is conveyed to a nozzle ring where gases transport it to the classifier for separation into grits and fines.
