Vertical mill rotary airlock feeder is a precision quantitative feeding device engineered by Hefei Hengcheng for use as a lock-air feeding component in both positive and negative pressure conveying systems. This equipment serves as a specialized lock-air feeder for vertical mills and can also function effectively as a lock-air feeder for air-swept ball mills.
Working Principle
The rotary airlock feeder consists of a durable casing, rotor assembly, and driving mechanism. Inside the feeder, a rotor with multiple specially designed blades rotates at constant speed. Material from the upper silo falls by gravity, filling the spaces between blades, and is discharged at the lower outlet as the rotor turns.
Rotor blades are manufactured from premium wear-resistant materials, ensuring optimal contact with the casing interior wall. The blade ends can be easily adjusted after wear to maintain perfect contact with the shell wall, providing exceptional airlock functionality. The rotor design allows for hot air ventilation, offering drying capabilities and adaptability for high-moisture, viscous materials to prevent sticking and blockage.
