For high temperature thermocouple wire except fep insulation we can still choose Kapton/PTFE + polyimide combination.

Fused Kapton tape applied to conductors and jackets. Excellent moisture and abrasion resistance, high dielectric strength (7 kV/mil) retains much physical integrity after gamma radiation. FEP is used as adhesive binding agent (melts at approx. 500°F). However, in most applications the wire will withstand 600°F for prolonged time periods.

So, we have more choices in high temperature thermocouple wire, especially in glass factory, steel factory and petrochemical plant.
