Stainless 309 offers a better corrosion resistance than the type 304 because of higher percentages of nickel and chromium. This alloy has been used for furnace parts, high temperature containers, weld wire, and fire box sheets.
Available forms of Stainless 309 are seamless pipe, welded pipe, seamless tube, welded tube, bar, wire, sheet, plate, forgings, pipe fittings and flanges.
Stainless 310 is a chromium-nickel steel with excellent oxidation resistance to carburizing and reducing environments. Stainless 310 has excellent resistance to drawing and tempering salts, neutral salts, cyaniding salts, and high-speed salts.
