Ferro Manganese Description
Low carbon ferromanganese (LC FeMn) refers to alloys mainly composed of manganese and iron, which are most frequently used deoxidizers and alloying materials in steel production. They are divided into low-carbon ferromanganese (carbon content below 0.5%) and medium-carbon ferromanganese (carbon content between 1.0%-2.0%). Ferromanganese is widely used in a variety of alloy steel including constructional steel, tool steel, stainless & heat resisting steel, wear-resistant steel.
Ferromanganese is an essential deoxidizer and desulfurizer in steelmaking industry.
Good need in smelting, steel deoxidation desulphurization processing, and ferromanganese is a cheap deoxidizer,
such as ferromanganese we can achieve the purpose of the desulfurization very well, effectively reduce the content of harmful elements in steel, improve the quality of steel.
Electric furnace high carbon ferromanganese is mainly used as deoxidizer, desulfurizer and alloy additive in steelmaking. In addition, with the progress of medium and low carbon ferromanganese production technology, high carbon ferromanganese can also be used in the production of medium and low carbon ferromanganese.
