The BYD Song Pro DM-I plug-in hybrid used in the BYD Song Pro and other newer BYD models. It has enhanced intelligent driving functions.
The powertrain consists of a 1.5L turbocharged petrol engine paired with two 150kW electric motors.An upgraded 50.9 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery provides an NEDC electric range of 410km, over 150km more than previous Song models.
It features BYD's "Dragon Face" intelligent driving assistance system with V2X communication capabilities.Functions include auto parking, remote vehicle control, intelligent cruise control, autonomous emergency braking etc
BYD claims the DM-I significantly improves energy consumption in hybrid mode for longer all-electric commuting.Pricing starts around 450,000 yuan ($66k USD) in China, a substantial premium over the standard Song Pro.
