The difference between PC, and UPC is that they have different return loss and different quality of wear on the end face, but they can be mixed with each other; while APC is completely different from them and needs to be connected to the same APC connector, and the end face of the connector is ground to an 8 degree angle to reduce reflections. In terms of color, APC are usually green.
