MOOG servo valve working principle introduction.A typical MOOG servo valve consists of a permanent magnet torque motor, a nozzle, a stop plate, a spool, a valve sleeve and a control chamber.When the input coil passes the current, the baffle moves to the right, so that the throttling effect of the right nozzle is strengthened, the flow rate is reduced, and the right side back pressure is increased; At the same time, the throttling effect of the left nozzle is reduced, the flow rate is increased, and the back pressure on the left side is decreased. The forces at both ends of the spool are out of balance and the spool moves to the left. High pressure oil flows from S to C2 to the load. The load return oil flows through the C1 return port and into the fuel tank. The displacement of the spool is proportional to the input current of the torque motor, and the liquid pressure acting on the spool is balanced with the spring force, so the differential current of the torque motor is proportional to the displacement of the spool in the equilibrium state. If the input current is reversed, the flow is also reversed.MOOG servo valves are mainly used as actuators in electrical hydraulic servo systems (see hydraulic servo systems). In the servo system, compared with the electric and pneumatic actuators, the hydraulic actuator has the characteristics of good speed, large output power per unit weight, smooth transmission, strong anti-interference ability and so on.
