Overview
This low-foaming, cloud-point-free anionic surfactant acts as a purifier in electroplating processes. It is particularly useful in acid zinc plating. As a sulfonate, it resists hydrolysis and, when combined with nonionic surfactants, increases the cloud point. It is also readily soluble in benzyl aceton, improving leveling. Furthermore, it is suitable for high-temperature operation, resulting in bright, corrosion-resistant deposits.

Application
OX-401 is a low-foaming anionic surfactant used as a carrier for acid zinc plating. It can also be used for acid zinc-nickel alloy and acid copper plating. It has excellent salt tolerance, good throwing power, high current efficiency, and excellent hydrolysis resistance. It exhibits excellent dispersing and emulsifying properties in acid zinc plating solutions of varying concentrations, resulting in excellent overall performance. OX-401 is suitable for both barrel and rack plating.
