Optical Brightener OB is a yellow-green powder. Its melting point is 200–201°C, and the decomposition temperature exceeds 220°C. It is insoluble in water but soluble in alkanes, fats, mineral oil, wax, and common organic solvents.

Application
1>OB is mainly used for whitening plastics such as PVC, PS, PE, PP, ABS, as well as acetate fibers, paints, coatings, inks, etc.
2>OB is used for whitening of PVC, polystyrene, ABS resin, polyolefin and polyester, and also for whitening of acetate fiber, polymethyl methacrylate, foam artificial leather. It is also used in varnish, paint, UV curable coatings, printing inks, fats, oils, and packaging materials. This product can be used as an anti-counterfeiting mark in printing ink. In photography, it can be used to improve the whiteness of non image areas in photos, which can convert photos into fluorescence when exposed to ultraviolet light. Generate whitening and brightening effects.
