Petrowrap Anti Corrosion Tape For Flanges Sealing

Petrolatum tape is designed for corrosion protection of buried, exposed, or marine pipes, rods, cables, valves, metal fittings, and tanks. The system consists of petrolatum tape, petrolatum mastic, petrolatum primer, and outer wrap protection tape.

This non-woven, stitch-bonded synthetic fabric carrier is fully saturated and coated with a neutral petrolatum compound blended with inert fillers and corrosion inhibitors.

For long-life corrosion protection, sealing and waterproofing of atmospheric buried and submerged metal surfaces. The high degree of conformability allows for application over irregular surface profiles including:

• Gas utility systems
• Sewer and wastewater applications
• Potable water systems
• Mining operations

• Stable in composition and plasticity over wide temperature ranges
• Non-hardening and non-cracking, accommodating vibrations and extreme movement
• Non-toxic and non-flammable with high dielectric strength
• Highly resistant to mineral acids, alkalis and salts

Spirally wrap with minimum 55% overlap for all applications. For vertical applications:

• Begin at bottom and proceed upward for weatherboard overlap
• Apply longitudinally ("cigarette wrap") in confined spaces
• Maintain 100mm overlap when joining rolls
• Smooth all overlaps by hand
