Product Description:
Petroleum Paste is a soft, brown petrolatum primer that is used for the application by brush or gloved hand at normal temperature. It contains moisture-displacing corrosion-inhibiting compounds that help to prevent the surface from drying, cracking, and hardening.
Petroleum Paste is mainly used as a primer before applying petrolatum tapes. It can penetrate existing rust, displace moisture, pacify the surface, and aid the adhesion of tapes and mastic. By doing so, it prolongs the useful life of the tape and mastic.
Applications:
1. Removing Rust and Wiping Soil:
If you want to remove rust and wipe soil from a surface, it's recommended to use a wire-brush for removing rust followed by wiping soil with rags. By following this method, you can ensure that your surface is properly cleaned and ready for further treatment.
2. Applying PETRO PASTE:
To protect your surface from rust, you can apply PETRO PASTE. It's advisable to apply it regularly by hands and maintain a range of 300-500g/m2. By following this range, you can ensure better protection against rust.
3. Applying on Complicated and Uneven Surfaces:
If you need to use PETRO PASTE on a complicated and uneven surface, you can use it as a filler in valve, flange, and unevenness where came out space when tape wrapping. By using PETRO PASTE, you can ensure that your surface is properly sealed and protected against rust.
4. Overlapping and Swathing:
If you want to ensure better coverage of the surface, it's recommended to overlap the PETRO PASTE above 15 minutes (30-50%). After swathing, level the tape with stroking by hands to remove the joints according to the line. By following this method, you can ensure that the surface is uniformly covered.
5. Using P.V.C OUTER TAPE:
If you want to finish your surface, it's recommended to use P.V.C OUTER TAPE. There are various colors available for indication by environmental situation. By using this tape, you can ensure that your surface looks neat and well-finished.
