Technical Parameters:This mastic is used to make a smooth profile on irregular shaped fittings such as flanged joints and valves. It is applied prior to the tape application and generally used in conjunction with primer, Petrolatum Tapes

Applications:

The volume solution temperature must be maintained above 5 ℃ during the application process. It is essential to note that the application temperature should be at least 5 ℃ above the mentioned volume solution temperature.

Apply a thin coat of Paste to threads, cavities, shoulders, pits, and other irregularities present. Ensure that the Paste is thinly and evenly applied to cover all surfaces.

If there are any uneven areas such as flanges and valves, Stuff Mastic in those regions. Mold the Mastic to fit and pack it tightly into any irregularities present. It will help eliminate bridging and voids, aiding in better adhesion.

While applying the Petrolatum Tape, ensure that there is enough tension to assure tight tape adhesion. Wrap the tape around the surface, and it will create a strong seal.

For better isolation from air and protection from mechanical damages, it is recommended to use PVC Tape on top of Petrolatum Tape. It acts as an additional layer of protection and will increase the longevity of the product.
