Product Description:
Industrial-grade monoammonium phosphate, known as ammonium dihydrogen phosphate, is commonly referred to as TMAP. It has the chemical formula NH4H2PO4 and a molecular weight of 115.03.
This substance typically presents either as a white powder or granular material. Granular products are known for their high particle compressive strength. It has a melting point of 190℃, a density of 1.803 at 18℃, and a solubility of 41.6 g/100g at 25℃. The pH of a 1% aqueous solution is 4.5.
It is quite soluble in water, exhibits slight solubility in alcohol, and is insoluble in dimethyl ketone. The substance remains stable at room temperature, lacking redox properties. It does not combust or explode when subjected to high temperatures, acids, alkalis, or redox substances.
Moreover, it displays good solubility in both water and acids. In its powdered form, it is somewhat hygroscopic. It also possesses exceptional thermal stability and dehydrates at elevated temperatures to create viscous chain compounds like ammonium pyrophosphate, ammonium polyphosphate, and ammonium metaphosphate.
