Product Description:
Industrial-grade monoammonium phosphate, known as ammonium dihydrogen phosphate, is commonly referred to by its abbreviation TMAP. It has a chemical formula of NH4H2PO4 and a molecular weight of 115.03. This substance presents itself in the form of a white powder or granular material. Granular products of TMAP exhibit high particle compressive strength.
With a melting point of 190℃, a density of 1.803 at 18℃, and a solubility of 41.6 g/100g at 25℃, TMAP also has a pH of 4.5 in a 1% aqueous solution. It is easily soluble in water, slightly soluble in alcohol, and insoluble in dimethyl ketone. This compound is stable at room temperature and does not possess redox properties. Moreover, it does not combust or explode when exposed to high temperatures, acids, alkalis, or redox substances.
Furthermore, TMAP shows good solubility in both water and acids, albeit the powdered form is somewhat hygroscopic. It exhibits excellent thermal stability and dehydrates at elevated temperatures to create viscous chain compounds like ammonium pyrophosphate, ammonium polyphosphate, and ammonium metaphosphate.
