A level gauge is a device used by road construction equipment to detect and control the height of material levels. Mainly used in the material distribution control of pavers. TYP89 level gauge is a CAN communication output level gauge with CAN bus design, ensuring superior anti-interference performance.

TYP89 CAN type level gauge can be applied to Vogele 1900-2, Vogele 2100-3L and other Vogele pavers. The level gauge is an asphalt paver with CAN communication.

Working principle

The instrument mainly includes three parts: ultrasonic transducer (commonly known as ultrasonic sensor or probe), microcomputer, and peripheral circuit. The microcomputer collects the transmission time of ultrasonic waves in the air, calculates the height of asphalt and other materials in real time, and outputs control signals to the paving machine equipment to control the speed of the mixing cage and achieve the purpose of controlling the height of materials.
