Product Description
ZZHP Series Pilot-Operated Pressure Control Valve needs no external energy; the medium’s own energy is used as the power source and then introduced into the pilot to control the main valve spool displacement in order to change medium flow, therefore the outlet pressure (B type) or the inlet pressure (K type) remains constant.
Pilot-Operated Pressure Control Valve has the following characteristics:
Pressure set is implemented on the pilot, thus easy, convenient and time-saving. Moreover it can be set at any time under continuous production conditions.
The pressure regulation range is wider than ZZY Self-Operated Pressure Control Valve with particularly large pressure ratio, for example inlet pressure: 0.8MPa, outlet pressure: 50mmH2O, the pressure ratio is up to 1600.
The regulation accuracy is higher than ZZY Self-Operated Pressure Control Valve with large pressure sensing diaphragm effective area, small spring stiffness, particularly sensitive response action, extremely low pressure (50mmH2O) or pressure change can be sensed, smooth device operation, therefore it is suitable for applications requiring high precision control.
No packing construction is adopted to reduce stem friction and obtain small dead zone.
ZZHP-16B is primarily suitable for high inlet pressure (0.2~0.8MPa) and low outlet pressure (0.5~100kPa, for example 50mmH2O) and can replace one ZZYP Self-Operated Pressure Control Valve and one ZZVP Self-Operated Micropressure Control Valve; ZZHP-16K can be used for Nitrogen vent device together with ZZHP-16B (used for Nitrogen supply device). ZZHP-16K alone can replace ZZVP Self-Operated Micropressure Control Valve (inlet pressure ≤ 0.1MPa), however ZZHP-16K Pilot-Operated Pressure Control Valve is not restricted by the above.

Working Principle
Nitrogen supply device construction is shown in figure 1, the fluid, located at the top of the
tank, is introduced through the impulse pipe to the testing unit, the force caused by the fluid on
the testing unit is equilibrium to the preload of the spring. When the pressure inside the tank is
lowered to the setting point of the nitrogen supply device, the balance is broken and the pilot
plug is opened, therefore the main valve plug is opened after the inlet gas goes into the upper
and lower diaphragm cover through the air filter regulator and the throttle valve and then the
nitrogen is supplied into the tank; when the pressure inside the tank is up to the setting point,
the spring preload of the testing unit makes the pilot plug close, then the main valve plug is
also closed thus the nitrogen supplement is stopped.
Nitrogen vent device construction is shown in figure 2, the working principle is basically the
same as nitrogen supply device, the fluid is introduced into the lower diaphragm cover of the
test unit, when the pressure inside the tank is up to the setting point, the pilot plug is opened
then the main valve plug is also opened, the vent begins. When the pressure is lowered to the
setting point, the main valve is closed then the vent ends.

Application Example (For Nitrogen Seal Device)

Nitrogen is on the upper end of the refined oil inside the tank, the pressure, usually around
100mmH2O, is controlled by the nitrogen seal device. When the outlet valve opens, the inner tank
level drops in the meantime ZZHP-16B nitrogen supply valve is opened to supply nitrogen into
the tank, until the pressure is up to the setting point; when the inlet valve opens, the level ups, the
nitrogen pressure increases and then ZZHP-16B nitrogen supply valve is closed. ZZHP-16K nitrogen
vent valve is opened under the pressure controller; the nitrogen is released until the pressure is
lowered to the setting point. To ensure the safety of the tank, it shall be provided with breather valve
at the tank top.
Nitrogen supply pressure P2 setting: the setting point P2 is selected, for example 1kPa (100mmH2O),
is adjusted by the pressure setting spring.
Nitrogen vent pressure Po setting: adjust the pressure controller and adjust the pressure setting
spring pre-compression set, Po should be much higher than P2, for example 2kPa (200H2O), to avoid
the frequent open and close.
Breather valve pressure Pb setting: when the nitrogen supply and nitrogen vent pressure is set, to
avoid the frequent open and close, breather valve pressure Pb should be higher than Po, and the
difference between the pressures cannot be too small, for example 3kPa (300mmH2O).
Nitrogen supply pressure P2, nitrogen vent Po and breather valve pressure Pb: Pb>Po>P2.
1. The pressure position of ZZHP-16B nitrogen supply valve should be near the tank.
2. The pressure gauge should be close to the pressure point.
3. ZZYP-16B nitrogen supply valve outlet pipeline should be bigger than inlet pipeline
