►Structural Composition
The expansion tank is mainly composed of four parts: tank body, airbag, water inlet/outlet and air supply port.
The tank body is generally made of carbon steel and has an anti-rust paint layer, which can effectively prevent the tank body from rusting and extend its service life.
The airbag is usually made of EPDM environmentally friendly rubber, which has good flexibility and corrosion resistance and can adapt to different working environments and media.
The airbag and the tank body are pre-filled with gas, and it is already filled at the factory. Users do not need to add gas by themselves, which is convenient to use.
►Working Principle
When pressurized water from the outside enters the expansion tank airbag, the gas sealed in the tank is compressed. According to Boyle's gas law, the gas volume decreases and the pressure increases after being compressed. The water inlet stops when the gas pressure in the expansion tank is consistent with the water pressure. When the water loss pressure decreases, the gas pressure in the expansion tank is greater than the water pressure. At this time, the gas expands to squeeze the water in the airbag to replenish the system, thereby maintaining the water volume and pressure balance of the system.
