Product Introduction
This gloss meter measures surface gloss in Gloss Units (GU), traceable to international reference standards from BAM (Germany), NRC (Canada), and NPL (UK). The three measurement angles provide optimal resolution for different surface types:
- 60° angle: Standard measurement for all surfaces, used as reference for other angles
- 85° angle: Recommended for low-gloss surfaces (when 60° measurement is <10GU)
- 20° angle: Ideal for high-gloss surfaces (when 60° measurement is >70GU), particularly sensitive to surface fogging
