Product Overview

The HAAKE falling ball viscometer C is an instrument for quasi-accurate measurement of the viscosity of transparent Newtonian fluids and gases. It meets the German DIN 53015 and ISO120587 standards, and can be used as an official reference instrument. With the support of the accurate temperature control system of the circulator, its measurement accuracy is among the best among all viscometers.

Principle of Measurement

The roll of the ball in the sample liquid is timed in an inclined cylindrical measuring tube. The viscosity of the sample is related to the time it takes the ball to travel a certain distance. Turn the measuring tube over to make another measurement. Test results are given in mPas units of dynamic viscosity as specified in the international standard.
