Digital Pull Off Adhesion Tester for Bond Strength Measurement
This portable, hand-operated instrument measures the force required to pull a specified test diameter of coating away from its substrate using hydraulic pressure. The pressure is displayed on a digital LCD, representing the coating's strength of adhesion to the substrate.
Application Methods
Cross-Cut Test
Assesses paint and coating resistance to separation when a right angle lattice pattern is cut into the coating. Useful for quick pass/fail testing and evaluating multi-coat systems.
Scrape Adhesion
Determines adhesion of organic coatings on smooth surfaces by applying increasing weight until coating removal occurs. Provides relative ratings for coated panels.
Pull-off Test
Measures minimum tensile stress needed to detach coatings perpendicular to substrate. Uses loading fixtures (dollies) adhered to coating surface with special adhesive.
