Introduction about water bath
Common water bath issues include inaccurate temperature, slow heat recovery, and excessive condensation. Inaccuracy often requires controller calibration or sensor cleaning. Slow recovery may indicate a failing heater or insufficient water circulation; checking the pump in circulating models is advised.
Condensation can be managed by ensuring the lid fits properly and using the bath at a stable ambient temperature. Mineral scale, indicated by a crusty residue, is resolved by descaling with a citric acid solution and switching to distilled water.
