50Kpa High Gas Tightness Marine Fenders Rubber Material For Ship Docking P50-1525
Floating pneumatic rubber fenders, known as Yokohama fenders or Yokohama-type pneumatic fenders, are constructed from synthetic-cord-reinforced rubber sheets with compressed air inside. The internal air enables flotation on water and serves as a shock absorber between ships (ship-to-ship) or between ships and berthing structures during docking operations.
All Doowin Marine Yokohama-type floating pneumatic rubber fenders are manufactured and tested in full compliance with ISO 17357 standards. These fenders can be easily handled and installed with guy-ropes or guy-chains due to their lightweight design. They maintain energy absorption levels under inclined compression up to 15 degrees while providing low and even hull pressure.
Available in diameters from 500 mm to 4,500 mm and lengths from 500 mm to 9,000 mm, pneumatic fenders come as sling-type or with heavy-duty chain & tire net configurations. We also supply vertical hydropneumatic fenders for submarines. Foam filled fenders are another floating fender option.
We offer two common types of Pneumatic Rubber Fenders:
- Type I - Net Type: Covered with chain net, wire net, or fiber net for small size fenders
- Type II - Sling Type: Features lifting devices on each end for connection with guy chains or ropes, without protection net for easier handling
Floating pneumatic rubber fenders consist of an outer rubber layer, reinforcement synthetic-tire-cord layer, and inner rubber layer, all vulcanized together.
- Outer Rubber Layer: Provides protection for cord layers and inner rubber, with sufficient tensile and tear resistance for harsh weather conditions.
- High Quality Synthetic-Tyre-Cord Layer: Maintains internal air pressure while the inner rubber layer seals the pressurized air.
- Safety Valve: Standard on fenders ≥2500mm diameter (optional for smaller sizes) to release excess internal pressure.
- Chain and Tire Net: Additional protection using truck tires, fiber nets, or aircraft tires that can be easily replaced.
