Product Description
Inflatable Air Lifting Bags High-Pressure Marine Rubber Air Bag For Shipyard
Ship launching airbags, also known as roller bags, launching air balloons, inflatable marine airbags, air lift bags, and salvage bags, are specialized marine rubber air bags used for launching marine vessels, ship landing, or haul-outs.
Marine rubber airbags in shipyard operation
These marine rubber airbags are widely used in loading, floating, lifting, moving sunken ships, and salvaging stranded boats. Constructed with heavy-duty synthetic-tire-cord layers and inner/outer rubber layers in a long cylindrical balloon shape.
Ship launching or upgrading using marine airbags represents innovative ship-launching technology that overcomes the limitations of traditional "end-on launching", "side ship launching", and "float-out" methods. This flexible technology eliminates restrictions of fixed launching tracks and is increasingly adopted by shipyards worldwide due to its advantages in time savings, cost efficiency, flexibility, and safety.
Our engineering team continuously innovates in design, material usage, and manufacturing technologies to ensure maximum flexibility, safety, and reliability. To date, our ship-launching rubber airbags have successfully launched cargo vessels, barges, chemical tankers, tugboats, AHTS vessels, floating docks, and construction caissons up to 100,000DWT.
Large vessel being launched using marine airbags
All Doowin Marine ship launching airbags are manufactured and tested to fully comply with ISO 14409:2011 (Ships and marine technology -- Ship launching airbags) and ISO 17682:2013 (Methodology for ship launching utilizing air bags).
Ship Launching Airbags Material
Our rubber airbags are constructed with an outer rubber layer, multiple synthetic-tire-cord layers, and an inner rubber layer vulcanized firmly together, with additional layers applied at the end shoulders for enhanced durability.
Structure of marine rubber airbags
Inner and Outer Rubber
Both inner and outer rubber layers undergo rigorous testing to meet international standards. The outer rubber layer protects cord layers from abrasion and external forces, featuring compounds with exceptional tensile and tear strength to withstand harsh weather conditions and demanding usage.
