50KPa 80Kpa Pneumatic Rubber Fender Yokohama Yokohama Floating Fenders
Floating Ship Yokohama Type Marine Pneumatic Rubber Fenders are made of synthetic-cord-reinforced rubber sheets with compressed air inside to enable them to float on water and function as shock absorbers between ships (ship-to-ship) or between ships and berthing structures.
Note: These fenders are sometimes referred to as "Yokohama Fenders" or "Yokohama type fenders" and comply with ISO 17357:2014 standards for Floating Pneumatic Rubber Fenders.
- Lightweight design for easy handling and installation with guy-ropes or chains
- Resists shearing force and maintains energy absorption under 15° inclined compression
- Provides low, even hull pressure distribution
- Multiple synthetic-cord layers with abrasion-resistant rubber for rough conditions
- Minimizes maintenance costs and damage risk
- Self-buoyant design ensures long service life
Pneumatic rubber marine fenders consist of outer rubber, reinforcement synthetic-tire-cord layer, and inner rubber, vulcanized firmly. Fenders ≥2500mm diameter include safety valves to release excess pressure.
Outer Rubber: Protects cord layers with high tensile and tear resistance for severe weather conditions.
Tire Cord Layers: Reinforcement layer maintains internal air pressure integrity.
Inner Rubber: Seals pressurized air inside the fender.
- Pneumatic fender 50 (50 KPa initial pressure)
- Pneumatic fender 80 (80 KPa initial pressure)
Floating pneumatic fenders provide protection for:
- Ship-to-ship operations (STS)
- Ship-to-quay (STQ)
- Ship-to-berthing (STB)
Suitable for various vessels including:
- Tankers, Gas Carriers and Bulk Cargo Ships
- Fast ferries and aluminum hulled vessels
- Temporary or permanent installations
- Emergency response situations
- Ship realignment with shore facilities
Performance measured by Guaranteed Energy Absorption (GEA), Reaction Force at GEA deflection, and Hull Pressure at GEA deflection.
