Rubber expansion joints, also known as rubber flexible connectors, are flexible connection devices that compensate for pipeline displacement through rubber elastic deformation.
Structure Components
- Main rubber layer: natural rubber (NR), ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber (EPDM), or chloroprene rubber (CR)
- Reinforcement layer: polyester fabric or steel wire braiding (to withstand pressure)
- Flange/clamp interface: carbon steel flange (Q235B), stainless steel flange (304/316), or ring clamp
