Basic Structure
The flange duckbill valve utilizes a rubber duckbill structure to achieve one-way check functionality. Installed in pipeline systems via flange connections, it primarily prevents fluid backflow.
Composition
- Valve body: Typically metal (cast iron, carbon steel, stainless steel) with flange interface
- Duckbill part: Elastic rubber material (NBR, EPDM, neoprene) with flat duckbill shape that opens and closes with fluid pressure
Working Principle
- Forward flow: Fluid pressure opens the duckbill allowing medium passage
- Reverse flow: Duckbill closes under back pressure, using elastic seal to prevent backflow (similar to one-way check valve)
