6Inch 150mm Ductile Iron Butterfly Valve NBR Rubber Sleeve Clamp Center Line

The main component is a disc-shaped butterfly plate installed in the middle position of the valve through bearings, rotating around the valve shaft. When closed, the plate contacts the valve seat to prevent fluid passage. When open, it rotates perpendicular to the seat, allowing fluid flow through the central channel.

Flow control is achieved by rotating the butterfly plate from 0° (fully closed) to 90° (fully open), with intermediate positions providing precise flow adjustment.

The clamping device ensures tight contact between butterfly plate and valve seat when closed, creating an effective seal. Contact surfaces use wear-resistant materials like cemented carbide for durability.

Available in manual (valve shaft rotation), electric (actuator), or pneumatic (compressed air control) operation options.
