Critical Steps for a Quality Weld

Preparation: Bevel pipe ends to the correct angle (37.5°). Meticulously clean all surfaces with a dedicated stainless steel brush and solvent.
Alignment & Tack Welding: Ensure perfect alignment and use tack welds to secure the fitting.
Welding Process (TIG Recommended): Use the correct filler metal (ER308 for 304, ER316 for 316).
Gas Purging (Essential): Use argon backing gas on the inside of the weld joint to prevent "sugaring" (oxidation), which destroys corrosion resistance.
Heat Control: Use low heat input to minimize the heat-affected zone and prevent distortion.
