The TOKYO KEIKI TOKIMEC DG4V-5-8C-M-PL-T-6-40 is a legacy three-position directional control valve with a tandem-center No. 8 spool, dual AC solenoids and an ISO 4401-AC-05-4-A mounting interface.

Tandem-Center Function

In the spring-centered neutral position, the P port is connected to T while the A and B actuator ports are blocked. This unloads the pump while hydraulically holding the actuator ports.

Energizing either solenoid shifts the spool to establish the corresponding actuator flow path. Removing both commands returns the spool to its tandem-center position.

• Confirm that tandem-center operation is appropriate for the hydraulic circuit.
• Verify the 100 VAC 50/60 Hz or 110 VAC 60 Hz power supply.
• Do not energize both solenoids simultaneously.
• Keep tank-port back pressure within the AC-solenoid limit.
• Maximum permissible flow varies with pressure and the selected flow path.

Legacy Model and Replacement Notes

This Design 40 model is intended for maintenance of existing TOKIMEC hydraulic systems. Offered units may be sealed stock, unused old stock, refurbished equipment or used equipment; condition must be confirmed before shipment.

An open-center valve is not equivalent to this tandem-center valve. Although both configurations can unload the pump, an open-center valve does not hold the A and B actuator ports in the same manner.
