Compatible System and Applications
This model is suitable for melt pressure monitoring at extruder barrels, screen changers, adapters and dies when the control system accepts a 4–20 mA signal. The input must be scaled so that 4 mA represents zero pressure and 20 mA represents 350 bar. Existing alarm and shutdown values should be recorded before replacement because a controller configured for 5,000 psi is not exactly equivalent to a 350 bar calibration.
Maintenance and Replacement Notes
Autozero must only be performed with no pressure applied. Inspect the mounting bore and remove hardened polymer without damaging the diaphragm seat. Gefran specifies a maximum installation torque of 56 Nm for the standard connection. Protect the flexible section from sharp bending, crushing and contact with moving equipment. Confirm loop polarity and connector pin assignments before applying power.
