The Allen Bradley 1746-BTM is a Barrel Temperature Control Module for the SLC 500 system. It is an intelligent I/O module that accommodates 4 zones of autotuned heat/cool PID loops for temperature control applications.

Barrel mode ON/OFF: Used for heat-only or alternating heat/cool applications. Non-barrel mode: Supports heat-only, cool-only, or independent heat/cool actions.

Does it support self-calibration?

Yes, with an external reference required.

How does the start-up algorithm work?

A built-in algorithm minimizes overshoot during startup to stabilize temperature quickly.
