ABB NTDI01 Digital I/O Termination Unit with 16 Individual Signals and 120 VAC Power Connections
The Digital I/O Termination Unit (NTDI01) is an interface for INFI 90 Process Management System I/O signals. These signals are used to control and monitor processes. Termination units provide the physical connection points for process field wiring and configure the system I/O signals.
Below is an example of an INFI 90 application using a TDI for termination.
- Attaches to NFTP01 Field Termination Panel inside INFI 90 cabinet
- Secured with 2 screws and spacers

- XU1-XU16: Signal configuration points
- TB1-TB4: Physical terminal connections
- P1: Termination cable socket to slave/master module
- E1, E2, E3: I/O power connections (24 VDC, 125 VDC, 120 VAC)
- F1, F2: On-board fuses for power and field devices
- XU17: Configures TDI signal routing for specific applications
- Flat head screwdriver
- Cross head screwdriver
- Chip puller
- Shunt cutting tool (AMP PN 435862-1)
Turn off the INFI 90 cabinet power. Ensure any external power supply feeding the termination unit is also turned off.
Disconnect all wiring from TB1-TB4. Label wires if not already labeled.
Remove connections from E1, E2, E3. Label wires if needed.
Remove NKTU01 from P1.
Unscrew the two screws and slide the board out. Hold the unit while removing screws.
Transfer or configure dipshunts as on the old unit. Cut straps carefully.
Insert fuses into fuse holders (see Installing Fuses section).
Slide tabs into standoff slots, then secure with screws.
Reconnect system power to E1/E2, ground to E3, and termination cable to P1.
Reconnect all wiring to TB1-TB4. Verify connections before powering on.
