The IC697CHS750 is a 5-slot I/O rack manufactured by GE Fanuc, designed to integrate components and modules within the GE Series 90-70 PLC system. Featuring a rear mounting mechanism and open enclosure, this rack is engineered for indoor industrial environments and can be easily mounted on factory floors. Each of the five slots accommodates individual power supplies positioned on the left side of the module location.
This GE Fanuc Series 90-70 I/O rack operates with a 20 Amp current rating and 5 Volts DC power supply. It supports installation accessories including the backplane J2 jumper kit. The rack features a removable terminal block accessible through a hinged door with bottom cable routing, plus an I/O terminal restraining strap for secure placement. Internal power supply connectors and spacers are included, with grounding provisions to eliminate system noise.
The Standard Nine-Slot and Five-Slot Racks for the IC697 programmable controller accommodate all CPU and I/O configurations. Each rack provides a dedicated power supply position at the leftmost module location, followed by either nine additional slots (Nine-Slot Rack) or five additional slots (Five-Slot Rack).

Power Supply & Expansion Capability
Two racks can be interconnected to share a single power supply for extended I/O applications. This configuration is supported by the Power Supply Extension Cable Kit (IC697CBL700).
Module Addressing & Compatibility
Each rack provides automatic slot sensing for rack-type I/O modules designed for the IC697 PLC system. No jumpers or DIP switches are required for module addressing.
- Each IC697 I/O module includes a unique key to prevent incorrect installation (AC modules cannot be inserted in DC slots)
- Insert the module into the rack - the key automatically latches onto the center rail
- The key remains on the rail when the module is removed, ensuring only correct module types can be inserted
- To relocate a module after key latching: push the key upward to release, remove from rail, reattach to module, then insert into desired slot
