• Radial Vibration Monitoring: This is basically tracking how the rotating shaft is moving sideways inside the bearing housing. In real machines, you don’t really “see” the fault directly — you just notice the signal starts to change. Things like imbalance, misalignment, or rotor instability usually show up here first, sometimes quite early if you’re paying attention.
• Axial (Thrust) Position: Here we’re looking at movement along the shaft, forward and backward. It sounds simple, but it’s important because if the thrust bearing starts wearing out or something goes wrong, the rotor can start drifting. In worst cases, you want to avoid any metal-to-metal contact between rotor and stator, so this measurement acts like an early warning.
• Keyphasor & Speed Sensing:This one gives a once-per-revolution pulse. Nothing complicated, but very useful — it tells you RPM and also gives a phase reference for vibration analysis. Basically, it helps you line up vibration patterns with the actual shaft position, which makes diagnostics much clearer.
• Eccentricity: Used to pick up the shaft “bow” or slight bending, especially in big machines like steam turbines. You usually see this more during startup and shutdown, when the rotor isn’t fully thermally stable yet.

These probes are pretty standard on machines with fluid-film bearings. You’ll find them in power plants (steam turbines, gas turbines, large generators), oil & gas setups like centrifugal or axial compressors and high-speed pumps, and also in general heavy industry — big motors, fans, blowers, that kind of equipment.

• API 670 Compliant: It’s mainly chosen because it follows API 670 standards, which is basically the global baseline for machinery protection systems. In practice, most plants won’t even consider non-compliant setups for critical machines, so this already makes it a safe, “go-to” option.
• Armored Cable (02 Option): The armored design is there for real-world abuse — not lab conditions. Around compressors or turbines, cables can get hit, scraped, or sit near sharp edges and metal structures. So the extra protection just helps it survive longer without constant maintenance issues.
• Hazardous Areas: This version is also built for risky environments like refineries or offshore platforms. With ATEX / IECEx approvals, it’s meant to operate safely in zones where gas or vapor could be present. In those places, compliance isn’t optional — it’s basically the entry ticket.
