Used quite often in 3300 XL system setups.
Because the FluidLoc cable helps reduce oil migration and keeps things stable in dirty or wet conditions.You’ll usually see it on steam turbine vibration probe, gas turbines, or centrifugal compressor monitoring. For API 670 vibration monitoring, it’s a common pick.
The probe is calibrated for AISI 4140 steel, so target material can slightly affect the eddy current displacement sensor output. It already has a 5.0 m cable, so normally no extension cable is added. Best match is a 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor (5 m system).
Usually around 2.5 mm (100 mils). While adjusting, just watch the Proximitor output—when it sits near -10 Vdc, the probe is basically in the right position.
