Introduction, operation and use cases
The 330102-03-28-10-02-00 is the armored, inch-thread version of the standard-mount 3300 XL 8 mm probe. It senses the changing distance between its tip and a conductive shaft without physical contact.
Thread the probe into a correctly prepared bracket or housing, respect the engagement limit, set the electrical gap, route the armored lead with a safe bend radius, then connect it to the matching 3300 XL Proximitor system.
Radial shaft vibration, axial position, Keyphasor phase reference, speed indication and mechanical condition trending on fluid-film bearing machines.
Steam and gas turbines, centrifugal compressors, process pumps, motors, generators, gearboxes and other critical rotating assets.
Installation notes that protect measurement quality
- Match the probe, electrical length and Proximitor sensor within the 3300 XL 8 mm family.
- Confirm that 3/8-24 UNF is the required mounting thread; metric M10 probes are not mechanical drop-ins.
- Use AISI 4140 steel calibration data only when the actual target material is appropriate.
- Do not exceed 0.563 in thread engagement or force the armored cable into a tight bend.
- Option 02 omits the connector protector. Select environmental protection suitable for oil, moisture and the site conditions.
05 / Lifecycle and replacement paths
The 3300 XL 8 mm system is a mature installed-base platform with current technical documentation. Exact production status, batch and lead time should be confirmed at quotation.
- 330102-03-28-10-02-05: same configuration with CSA, ATEX and IECEx approval option; verify the site certificate requirement.
- 330102-03-28-10-01-00: same probe dimensions and length with a connector protector option.
- 330101 configured equivalent: inch-thread probe without armor, for locations where external mechanical protection is unnecessary.
- 330192 configured equivalent: extended-temperature inch-thread probe with armor; requires system-level engineering verification.
- 330104 configured equivalent: metric M10 × 1 armored probe; only consider after confirming the mounting thread.
Questions specific to this configuration
| Q01 | How is this exact model identified? Check 330102, 0.3 in unthreaded length, 2.8 in case, 1.0 m lead, option 02 ClickLoc and approval code 00. |
| Q02 | Is it compatible with every 3300 XL component? No. Probe family and electrical length must match the selected Proximitor sensor. Mixing XL and non-XL components changes published performance. |
| Q03 | Which measurements suit this 1 m armored probe? It is commonly used for radial vibration, axial position, phase reference and speed-related measurements where the mounting geometry accepts the short integral lead. |
| Q04 | What is the key installation check? Confirm the 3/8-24 thread, avoid excessive engagement, establish the correct gap and protect the unprotected ClickLoc joint for the service environment. |
| Q05 | Is stock available now? Listed as in stock. Contact Miya for the current quantity, batch label and actual-item photos before ordering. |
| Q06 | What warranty applies? AMIKON generally provides 6–12 months depending on the item and quotation. The written sales terms define final coverage. |
| Q07 | How will the long probe be transported? Brand-new original packaging is reinforced to protect the threaded case, armor and connector. In-stock dispatch is normally 2–3 working days. |
