The HCPL-181 is a phototransistor optocoupler housed in a compact 4-pin mini-flat SMD package with a 2.0 mm profile, offering significant space savings with a 30% smaller package volume compared to conventional DIP types. It provides high input-output isolation voltage of 3750 Vrms. Key features include a minimum Current Transfer Ratio (CTR) of 50% at 5 mA input current, a high collector-emitter voltage of 80 V, and a fast response time (tr) typically 4 s. This optocoupler is suitable for applications such as I/O interfaces for computers, system appliances, measuring instruments, signal transmission between circuits of different potentials and impedances, and feedback circuits in power supplies. It is available in lead-free and RoHS 6 fully compliant options.
