The Toshiba TLP2161 is a high-speed photocoupler featuring an infrared LED paired with a photo-diode-transistor chip, housed in an SO8 package. It offers two circuits within a single package, reducing mounting space. Designed for operation from 2.7 V to 5.5 V and up to 125C, it boasts low supply current (2 mA) and low threshold input current (1.6 mA at 125C), contributing to energy savings. Its internal Faraday shield provides a guaranteed common-mode transient immunity of 20 kV/s, making it suitable for demanding applications.
