The MDD 172 series represents high-power diode modules designed for various power supply applications. These modules offer space and weight savings, simple mounting, and improved temperature and power cycling, leading to reduced protection circuit requirements. Key applications include supplies for DC power equipment, DC supply for PWM inverters, field supply for DC motors, and battery DC power supplies. They feature an international standard package with a direct copper bonded Al2O3-ceramic base plate and planar passivated chips, providing an isolation voltage of 3600 V~. The modules are UL registered (E 72873).
