The BT137 Series are 3-quadrant triacs suitable for general purpose AC switching. They feature high current density due to double mesa technology and SIPOS with glass passivation. Isolated internal components provide a 2500V RMS isolation voltage from all three terminals. These triacs are specially recommended for use on inductive loads and are ideal for applications such as static relays, heating regulation, light dimmers, and motor speed controllers, including starting circuits for external induction motors.
