Product Overview
This tester is designed for the brake performance test of children’s bicycles and balance bikes. It can simulate real braking operations of hand brakes and coaster brakes under riding conditions, testing braking force, braking distance, brake durability and braking efficiency. Widely used in R&D laboratories of bicycle manufacturers and third-party inspection institutions.
The machine clamps the whole bicycle specimen. Pneumatic actuators automatically squeeze brake levers or actuate coaster brakes. Matching weights are used to simulate rider load. An independent control cabinet collects and stores test data.

- Hand brake performance test: Apply preset gripping force automatically; measure braking force, braking distance and lever travel. Support continuous or intermittent braking tests.
- Coaster brake performance test: Simulate backward pedal movement to test braking capacity and the relationship between pedal force and braking force.
- Brake fatigue durability test: Repeat hand brake / coaster brake actuation cycles to verify long-term reliability of brake assemblies.
- Braking efficiency test: Load weights to simulate rider mass, brake the wheel at specified linear speed and calculate braking efficiency.
- Brake lever strength and coaster brake overload test: Evaluate structural resistance to damage.

Working Principle
Fix the test bicycle on the bench. Weights apply vertical load to simulate rider. Motor drives the wheel to reach the specified test speed. Pneumatic units act on hand brake or coaster brake as configured. Sensors capture real-time braking signals. The system records braking curve and braking distance to judge compliance. It also supports thousands of cycles for fatigue testing.
