Is the croc face leather?

Will the straps crack at the fold?

The gloss dulls where the strap creases, which is a finish change rather than a crack. A moulded strap has no laminate to split, so the failure mode you would watch for on a laminated upper does not exist here.

Do the prong holes wear out?

They can, because EVA is softer than leather. Repeated fastening at the same hole enlarges it over time. This is the one place on the sandal where a softer material works against you, and buyers should know it before they promise a two-season life.

Does the sole flatten?

A thick EVA sole compresses under continuous wear. It loses some height rather than failing, and the loss is not recoverable.

Is the buckle metal or plastic?
